PreColumbian Physiology and Diagnostics -- Group Projects

As part of the course, students work in groups based on key Mesoamerican concepts of the body. The create a power point, explaining the concept and relating it to readings. Then they create a short video depicting some aspect related to the concept and how it might be treated. Students are asked to respectfully address the subject.

Additionally, students read the book The Witches of Abiquiu, regarding a historical trial in which genizaro Indians were tried for witchcraft in New Mexico. Here is one podcast of student's who "covered" the event:
